ANNA Russ and I were talking about how wrapped up we can get trying to make the “right” choice.
So many choices can appear fraught with danger and threats to our security and survival. Everything takes on a density and weight that is difficult to bear.
Can you speak about this?
GUIDES Indeed. This is one of the main characteristics of living within 3D: every action is weighty.
Every action can appear to be a life-or-death decision—not necessarily in terms of actual physical survival, but emotionally fraught.
What will other people think? What will other people say? How will this reflect on who I am in the world?
Oh yes, this is weighty indeed. And it is one of the burdens humanity struggles under.
ANNA How do we begin to work with this more creatively?
GUIDES As always, the first step is nonjudgmental self-awareness.
If you don’t see what’s happening in your system, you cannot work consciously with it. You will continue to pursue or reject various courses of action without realizing that fear is driving you.
ANNA You’re showing me the connection between this weightiness of choice and unconscious desires, compulsions, and obsessions.
Can you explain that in simple terms?
GUIDES Yes.
When it feels as though each choice you make has potentially catastrophic implications for your ability to accept and love yourself, it becomes very difficult to enjoy your day-to-day life.
And when there is a great deal of tension in your nervous system, it can create compulsions and behaviors intended to satisfy or relieve that tension.
ANNA So when every choice becomes a weighty decision about whether or not I’m okay, it creates compression in my system, which can lead to all kinds of unconscious behaviors.
GUIDES Indeed.
And so we say to you: the first step is nonjudgmental self-awareness.
See what’s going on in your system without judgment, without adding to the compression and intensity of the emotions already present.
Do not join with those magnetic, heavy energies. Because then you lose the ability to see what’s happening in your system and simply join with it.
ANNA It’s as if these dense emotions are magnets. They suck me in, and I begin to vibrate with them. I completely lose my awareness at that moment.
So the first step is nonjudgmental self-awareness. And then?
GUIDES And then, dear one, you use your beautiful internal guidance system—your awareness—to explore:
What are you wanting?
What are you wanting to create?
We bring you back to this idea of you as a creator being.
If you can stay in the Green Zone—and from there become clear about what you want to create next, you’re in a beautiful position to simply make a choice.
And to enjoy it.
And to love it.
And to energize it.
And to attune to it.
